Awards & Recognition System Major Overhaul

The command staff is proud to announce a complete overhaul of the awards and recognition system.

This overhaul includes:

Brand-new ribbons, citations, and achievement awards
Expanded criteria covering activity, leadership, creativity, recruitment, mission participation, community support, and departmental excellence
A standardized tracking and review process to prevent contributions from being overlooked
Greater visibility for member accomplishments across the ship
Department-specific recognition opportunities and milestone awards

Command emphasized that this initiative is not just about decorations, it is about culture.

In addition to the new awards themselves, systems are now being put into place to help Command Staff more accurately document service and contributions over time. The goal is to ensure that recognition becomes proactive rather than reactive, allowing achievements to be identified and awarded more consistently across the fleet.
